Tyler Pearson is a fast-bowling prospect in Victorian cricket, a left-handed lower-order batter and right-arm quick who has come through Cricket Victoria’s elite pathway. A Kingston Hawthorn product, he first emerged at state level through the Under-17 and Under-19 emerging players programs and represented Vic Metro at the 2023 Under-19 National Championships, where his pace and bounce marked him as one of the tournament’s standout quicks.

His performances in Premier Cricket for Kingston Hawthorn and at youth level led to a rookie contract with Victoria’s men’s squad for the 2024–25 Sheffield Shield season, with that deal extended into 2025–26 as part of Victoria’s next generation of fast bowlers. Pearson has since been involved across Second XI and Shield squads and linked with the Melbourne Renegades setup, while continuing to spearhead Kingston Hawthorn’s attack in Premier Cricket.

In late 2025 he was ruled out for the remainder of the 2025–26 season with a stress fracture to his back, but Cricket Victoria remain bullish on his long-term future, viewing the setback as a small pause in what is projected to be a lengthy first-class – and potentially higher – career. Known for his height, ball speed and ability to hit the pitch hard, Pearson is regarded as a driven, high-ceiling quick with significant upside as he returns to full fitness.
