The son of a famous Bulldog, Tom took the step up to AFL football in his stride and burst onto the scene, winning a swag of awards in his first three seasons, including a club Best & Fairest in 2014.
Known for his aggression in the contest, Tom is a prolific ball winner who always puts his teammates in a better position by releasing them on the outside and doing all the grunt work inside. Unfortunately Tom has endured some serious injuries throughout his career, including his first ACL injury in 2015, before re-injuring it in 2018, resulting in two seasons where he couldn’t get onto the ground at all. Tom even had a scare in the 2016 season which finished in a drought breaking Premiership for the club, when he suffered a serious ankle injury in the later part of the season before getting back in time to play finals.
With his injuries hopefully behind him, Tom’s last few seasons have been very impressive, finishing third in the 2020 Best and Fairest before coming Runner Up in 2022 and 2023.
Taking a relatively unique approach to his footy, Tom now has a terrific balance between his life outside and inside the club which now includes his young son, Oscar along with some business investments.
