Nicola Barr is a versatile and experienced AFLW player known for her elite endurance, composure under pressure, and adaptability across multiple positions. Originally drafted as the first-ever No. 1 pick in AFLW history, Barr spent eight seasons with the GWS Giants, playing 61 games and earning a reputation as one of the league’s most consistent performers.

In 2024, she was traded to St Kilda in a three-way deal, bringing leadership and midfield depth to the Saints. Despite a hamstring injury limiting her to just three games that season, Barr remains a key figure in the club’s 2025 plans.

Off the field, she’s known for her advocacy around athlete wellbeing and her academic background in science and health. She’s also a former elite soccer player and SWAFL Best & Fairest winner.

Drafted from: Sydney University (SWAFL)
