Jade Rawlings is Fremantle’s backline coach, joining Justin Longmuir’s panel ahead of the 2025 AFL season after a highly successful stint as Norwood senior coach in the SANFL. A former key defender/forward who played 148 AFL games for Hawthorn, the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne, Rawlings transitioned into coaching with roles at Richmond – where he served as caretaker senior coach in 2009 – Melbourne and North Melbourne before taking charge at Norwood in 2021.
At the Redlegs he led the club to four consecutive finals series, including the 2022 SANFL premiership and a 2024 minor premiership and grand final appearance, cementing his reputation as a strong teacher of team defence and standards. Now at Fremantle, Rawlings brings more than two decades of elite playing and coaching experience to the Dockers’ backline group, known for his detail, clarity and ability to develop young key-position talent.
