J’Noemi Anderson is a dynamic midfielder-forward whose ferocious tackling, agility, and cultural leadership have made her one of the AFLW’s most compelling young stars. Hailing from Warumungu Country in the Northern Territory, she became St Kilda’s first Indigenous AFLW player, continuing a proud family legacy alongside brothers Jed (North Melbourne) and Joe (Carlton).
In 2024, Anderson earned the Telstra AFLW Rising Star nomination and was named St Kilda’s Best Emerging Player, thanks to standout performances including 11 disposals and 8 tackles against Brisbane. Her guernsey number—No. 7—was famously worn by Nicky Winmar, who personally presented it to her upon joining the club.
Known for her humility and strength, Anderson has spoken openly about her journey from Darwin to Melbourne, her pride in representing her people, and her commitment to inspiring the next generation of First Nations athletes.
