Having developed her Football craft in one of Australia’s most recognized female football programs, Darebin FC, Jess has been an amazing contributor to GWS since the start of the AFLW competition.
An inside midfielder, Jess has a team first attitude which can see her play multiple roles throughout the course of a game in order for the team to achieve its goals.
Jess was initially recruited to the Giants in 2016 as one of the Club’s five priority selections ahead of the League’s inaugural season, and named in the All-Australian team in 2017.
Jess made the move back to Victoria at the end of 2021 and has proven to be a key leader for the Blues, not missing a game across the two 2022 campaigns while also being named co-vice captain for season seven. Jess had a good start in 2023, playing the first 7 games, unfortunately Jess suffered a fractured fibula and missed the remainder of the season. Jess is committed to work hard and play at her best next year.
Having studied Paramedics at University, Jess has had to put her career on hold for the time being whilst she focuses on her AFLW career.
