Jasper Alger is a dynamic medium forward, known for his explosive speed, powerful movement, and natural goal sense. He ran a sub-3-second 20-metre sprint at the 2024 AFL Draft Combine, highlighting his elite acceleration and ability to break away from defenders in the forward half.

Originally from Warragul, Alger moved to Caulfield Grammar for his top-age year, where he balanced school football with representative duties. He began his junior career with Gippsland Power, playing seven games as a bottom-ager before joining the Oakleigh Chargers. He played six games for Oakleigh and represented Vic Country at the National Championships, delivering multiple standout performances that showcased his athleticism and forward craft.

Richmond selected Alger with pick 58 in the 2024 AFL National Draft. He made his senior debut in Round 15 of the 2025 season, bringing energy, speed, and scoring threat to the Tigers’ forward line.
