A highly skilled, smooth moving back flanker who can go through the middle of the ground, Jase followed in the footsteps of his father, Peter, a former great of the Port Adelaide FC, in electing to join the Power as a Father/Son.
Enjoying a successful 2021 season playing for South Australia, Woodville West Torrens in the Under 18’s, and League football for Port Adelaide Magpies, Jase joins the Power full of confidence knowing he can mix it with the best.
Having be made to bide his time in the first half of the 2022 Season playing for the Magpies in the SANFL, Jase pushed his way into the senior line up for their Round 16 game against the Dockers. Looking comfortable at the level, Jase held his spot for the remainder of the season in what was a great vote of confidence from Ken Hinkley. In 2023, Jase continued to show composure in the AFL and VFL, playing 5 games for Port Adelaide and averaging 21 disposals in the VFL, moving up to the wing.
Jase enjoyed a breakout 2024 season, cementing his spot in Port Adelaide’s best 22 and playing 23 games on the wing. He averaged 18.1 disposals, 5 marks, and 3.6 tackles per game, showcasing his elite ball use and defensive running. His standout performance came in the Semi-Final against Hawthorn, where he collected 25 disposals and 9 marks in a best-on-ground display. Wearing the No.7 guernsey made famous by his father, Jase embraced the legacy with pride and was rewarded with the club’s Coaches’ Award and selection in the AFLPA 22under22 squad.
