Jamie Durie OAM is an award-winning international designer, author and TV presenter with over two decades of design experience. Since launching his own design business, Durie Design, in 1998, Jamie has received more than 38 international design awards, including gold medals in Tokyo, New Zealand, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne and at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show in London, building a global reputation as one of the most innovative and influential designers in the industry.

Durie Design began in the field of landscape architecture, giving the practice the foundation of its design philosophy. Today, it has evolved into a multi-disciplinary studio specialising in architecture, interior design, landscaping, and Jamie’s greatest passion – furniture design. His first furniture collection launched in 2003 and has since retailed in more than 200 department stores across Australia. Following a successful European debut, his collections now sell in over 16 countries, including collaborations with Milan-based RIVA1920 in 2013 and 2016. Jamie and his team are renowned for creating seamless transitions between indoors and out, with designs that draw inspiration from nature to foster a deeper connection to the outdoors.

A passionate environmentalist, Jamie has worked with numerous conservation and sustainability organisations for over 28 years. He was selected to train with Al Gore as part of the Climate Change Group and has been an ambassador for Planet Ark’s National Tree Day for more than 21 years. He is also a proud ambassador for My Room Children’s Cancer Charity, supporting children and families affected by cancer, and regularly appears on Channel 7’s House of Wellness to share his expertise on health, wellbeing and sustainable living. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2013 for services to the environment and design, and the Centenary Medal in 2004 for services to the environment, television and the community.

Jamie is the author of 12 best-selling books, including Edible Garden Design, 100 Gardens, The Outdoor Room, Inspired, Outdoor Kids, Patio – Garden Design, and his first interior design title, Living Design. His books aim to educate and inspire readers in the art of landscape and interior design.

On television, Jamie has hosted over 56 prime-time lifestyle and design shows across more than 90 countries. After his US debut on Oprah, where he was a regular celebrity designer, he went on to host The Outdoor Room, Green Home TV and Outback Nation in the US, The Apartment in Asia, and Australia by Design in 2019. He has fronted Habitus House of the Year, House Rules for the Seven Network, Curb Appeal: Xtreme for HGTV in the US, and most recently Growing Home with Jamie Durie, which aired on Channel 7 in late 2024, documenting the creation of his sustainable, off-grid dream home on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

In 2025, Jamie continues to expand his influence through Jamie Durie’s Groundswell, a multi-platform content project celebrating people, ideas and innovations driving environmental change globally, and inspiring audiences to make sustainable choices. He remains a sought-after keynote speaker and MC, appearing at major events such as Gardenesque 2025 in Albury, where he headlined workshops on sustainable living, garden design and cultivating green spaces.

Currently based in Sydney , Jamie continues to create beautiful, innovative and sustainable designs, connect people with the environment, and champion causes that improve the health of our planet and communities.
