Jack Ough is a powerful and versatile tall midfielder drafted by the GWS Giants with Pick 36 in the 2024 AFL National Draft. He emerged from the Wentworth District Football Netball Club and developed through the GWV Rebels in the Coates Talent League, where he played both inside and outside midfield roles with distinction. Ough also represented Vic Country at the Under 18 National Championships, playing all four games and showcasing his ability to perform at a high level.

In his final season with the Rebels, he averaged 25 disposals during the finals series, including a standout performance with 33 disposals and seven inside-50s against the Geelong Falcons.

He tested strongly at the AFL Draft Combine, recording a 6:39 time in the 2km time trial

Ough is known for his clean hands, strong frame, and sharp decision-making. He consistently impacted games with his ability to win contested ball, spread effectively and use his size to create space. His late-season form was particularly impressive, regularly surpassing 25 disposals and averaging five tackles across his final eight appearances

His agility and composure under pressure added further value to his game, making him a well-rounded and high-upside prospect.
