Charlotte Simpson is a composed, contested-ball midfielder whose clean hands, clearance work, and resilience have made her one of St Kilda’s most promising young talents. A third-generation Saint, Simpson follows in the footsteps of her father, former AFL player Sean Simpson, as part of the club’s father-daughter legacy.

Before being drafted, she dominated the VFLW circuit with Geelong, earning the 2023 Lambert-Pearce Medal and Geelong’s Best & Fairest, despite battling a serious health setback—a cyst on her ovary that delayed her draft dream. Her story is one of grit and determination, making her a compelling figure for campaigns focused on perseverance, youth empowerment, and women’s health advocacy.

In her debut AFLW season, Simpson played 10 games, averaging 11.2 disposals, 5.8 tackles, and 2.8 clearances per match. Her ability to absorb pressure and win contested ball has quickly earned her respect across the league.

Drafted from: Geelong VFLW / Vic Country
