Blessed with a penetrating kick and ability to break the lines, Jess was the Bulldogs first pick in the 2020 AFLW Draft, and the second selection overall.

One of the few draftees to feature in every game in her debut season, Jess made and electrifying start to her season where she quickly announced that she will be a dominant player of the future. Learning off the likes of Ellie Blackburn and Kirsty Lamb, Jess continued to progress her game in 2022. Jess was a key player in the Bulldogs team, playing 11 and 10 games in season 6 and 7 in 2022. In 2023, Jess backed up her form by again playing all 10 games and averaging 15 disposals.
