Alyssa was Pick 5 in the 2020 Draft which was Melbourne’s first selection. Coming into a team that has been one of the league’s most consistent teams over the first four seasons, Alyssa knew she needed to have a great preseason in order to break into the team as she had pretty much gone without playing for 12 months due to Victoria’s COVID situation in 2020.

One of very few draft picks to play in every AFLW game in 2021, Alyssa proved a handful for opponents up forward at times. Alyssa built of her maiden season to have a tremendous year in 2022, this included being one of the key players during the finals in Season 6 as well as being a key player in the Season 7 Premiership. In 2023, Alyssa continued to be a staple of Melbourne’s team, playing in all of the Demons’ twelve games, including 2 finals.
